News: First Trailer For Pixar’s Brave

After the very disappointing Cars 2, the one sequel to a Pixar movie we never wanted, it seems the folk at the house of the hopping lamp have gone back to their wonderful and endearing original storytelling. Check it out, the new trailer for Brave.

Colour me impressed. Are Pixar venturing into the world of the fairytale? Certainly looks like it. I have to admit I know little to nothing about this movie, but the usual studio bumf says it’s set in the Scottish Highlands and tells the tale of a young red-headed girl called Merida (Kelley MacDonald) who inadvertently sets loose the forces of chaos, and discovers the meaning of bravery. Hm. Well, you know,  promotional material always has a way of robbing movies of any kind of interest. It’s Pixar, just watch the trailer and see how beautiful it is, and how brilliant the vocal performances are (Emma Thompson! Robbie Coltrane! Julie Walters! Billy Connolly!). Yeah, it’s gonna be brilliant.
