Games: Three More Exciting GTA V Pics!

Okay, maybe not THAT exciting, but any look at Rockstar North’s is enough to drive the Internet into a frenzy. So what have the Housers got in store for us in the latest iteration of their multi-million selling franchise? Let’s take a look, shall we?

Push bikes! Like what we saw the British men and women do so well on at the Olympics. Oh, and those folk who pedal down the roads in their tight lycra pants. Yes, it appears the frantic button pushing is due to make a return.

In a shocking move for the franchise, Rockstar will be putting motor cars around the game map for the player to drive about in. Can’t see this taking off myself, but that’s just me. On a more serious note, it’s good to see the Cheetah returning, and a nice little nod on the number plate to the state being San Andreas.

And finally, a fighter jet! If you look really closely, you can make out the older guy from the trailer piloting it. I think. Judging from these shots, and all we’ve seen before, Grand Theft Auto V is shaping up be the true spiritual successor to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas after the more muted, serious take of Niko Bellic and his GTA IV.

If this were any other game we’d be looking at this pictures and saying a big “So what?” But this isn’t any other game. Grand Theft Auto IV may have failed to have lived up to the stratospheric expectations placed upon it by certain people (not me, I loved it), but it seems Rockstar are setting things straight by putting all their toys back in the toy box. I genuinely can’t wait for this.

There’s still no word as to when GTA V will be released, but I’ll let you know as soon as I find out.
