It’s truly exciting year for those of us who love our action-packed spy thrillers. Not only is Bond back but it seems he’s in top form with Skyfall (I saw the IMAX trailer before a showing of The Dark Knight Rises and was BLOWN AWAY), but we also have a return of the Bourne series with The Bourne Legacy. Replacing Matt Damon, Jeremy Renner now heads up the franchise as Operation Treadstone comes to an end and powerful forces try to tie up loose ends by disposing of their assets. Continue reading

Jeremy Renner is having a hell of a year – He saw it in with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocolowned it by being a member of The Avengers, and will end the summer as Matt Damon’s replacement in The Bourne Legacy. I arrived late to the Bourne franchise. I sat there piously thinking I was better than Matt Damon and his silly trilogy. How wrong I was. They are some of the finest Hollywood action movies of the last decade. Of course, seeing how well they did at the box office it was inevitable there would be a follow-up to the series and here it is – The Bourne Legacy. Continue reading
