The Bourne Legacy poster claims “There was never just one”. We know this. We’ve seen the Bourne trilogy. Those assassins sent to take Jason out after his memory problems? Pretty sure they’re all part of the programme. But hey, that’s just a silly poster. The film won’t make those types of mistakes… will it? Read on.

It’s truly exciting year for those of us who love our action-packed spy thrillers. Not only is Bond back but it seems he’s in top form with Skyfall (I saw the IMAX trailer before a showing of The Dark Knight Rises and was BLOWN AWAY), but we also have a return of the Bourne series with The Bourne Legacy. Replacing Matt Damon, Jeremy Renner now heads up the franchise as Operation Treadstone comes to an end and powerful forces try to tie up loose ends by disposing of their assets. Continue reading

Wes Anderson may have only just released Moonrise Kingdom to the world but he’s already thinking of his next project – The Grand Budapest Hotel. Aside from the title, Anderson has revealed little about the film itself, save for a dream cast wishlist. Continue reading

News: The New Bourne Legacy Trailer Is BRILLIANT

Posted in Movies, Trailer with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 1, 2012 by Bjorn Grainger

Jeremy Renner is having a hell of a year – He saw it in with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocolowned it by being a member of The Avengers, and will end the summer as Matt Damon’s replacement in The Bourne Legacy. Even Liam Neeson will have a problem topping that line-up and he’s in virtually everything. The question is, though, why should we care about the new Bourne film? Wasn’t it all settled in The Bourne Ultimatum? Continue reading

Wes Anderson’s films have always had distinctive posters. Rushmore and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou stand out in particular. I absolutely love them and I feel the same about the new poster for Moonrise Kingdom. It has a fairytale sense of wonder coupled Anderson’s (un)usual charm. Here’s hoping that it perfectly represents the film.  Continue reading

Ah, Valentine’s Day. The one day a year in which we get to celebrate love in all its forms, huff and puff loudly at the crass commercialisation of a martyred saint, or, you know, do the sex. Whatever your view, we can all agree it’s a great excuse to roll out silly feature, so The Shootening is taking a look at the greatest love of all – The bromance. We’ve all heard the saying – Bros before females (no sexist/misogynist language here, please), but what of those poor unfortunate types who know not what this love is? Well, don’t worry we have the top five examples neatly listed for you below.

I arrived late to the Bourne franchise. I sat there piously thinking I was better than Matt Damon and his silly trilogy. How wrong I was. They are some of the finest Hollywood action movies of the last decade. Of course, seeing how well they did at the box office it was inevitable there would be a follow-up to the series and here it is – The Bourne Legacy. Continue reading
