Jeremy Renner is having a hell of a year – He saw it in with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocolowned it by being a member of The Avengers, and will end the summer as Matt Damon’s replacement in The Bourne Legacy. Even Liam Neeson will have a problem topping that line-up and he’s in virtually everything. The question is, though, why should we care about the new Bourne film? Wasn’t it all settled in The Bourne Ultimatum? Continue reading

It was a long wait (over four months) but last week we finally got the third and final The Dark Knight Rises trailer. In comparison to the all-encompassing media blitz that accompanied Marvel’s The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises marketing has been relatively restrained and sedate. Okay, I’m gonna come right out and say it – I don’t have a lot of love for the Mission Impossible series. Because I love you, that’s why. Continue reading

Was the first film any good? I dunno, I haven’t seen it. You know, Guy Ritchie, Jude Law, it sounds… awful. But, hey, it got a sequel so it can’t be all bad. Oh, and this one has my 2010 crush Noomi Rapace in it, so maybe I’ll go see it after all. Let’s have a look, shall we?

It certainly is… explodey.  Continue reading
