Third parts are notoriously difficult in films. If things haven’t been planned out from the start they feel like horrible cash-ins, where that once fresh and original idea has long since milked dry. At best you ignore them, deny they ever existed. At worst, they kill off all the enjoyment you had in the series. The Dark Knight Rises is Christopher Nolan’s final part in his Dark Knight trilogy. Will Nolan give us the ending we want? Will Batman get the send off he deserves? Read on and find out. Continue reading

The Dark Knight Rises is almost here. Exactly one week to go. This where things become unbearable. So, the BBFC has confirmed that The Dark Knight Rises clocks in with a runtime of two hours and forty five minutes. That’s more than enough to numb the shapeliest of bums, but is it enough time to reach the ridiculous heights of our massively inflated expectations? We’ll see in seventeen days. Posted in Movies, News with tags , , , , , , , , on July 3, 2012 by Bjorn Grainger

As I stated way back in October when the first rumblings of production seemed to be grinding into action, George Miller’s Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is leanest, meanest, and finest action movies ever made thanks to its brutal simplicity.
